About the Fair
The Somerset County Fair Association is a volunteer-run non-profit dedicated to celebrating agriculture, family and community in Western Pennsylvania.
Our History
The first Somerset County Fair was held in 1900 as a one-day harvest exhibition. More than twelve decades later, it remains one of Pennsylvania's longest-running agricultural fairs. held every August at the Somerset County Fairgrounds in Meyersdale, just off Glades Pike.
Our Mission
To preserve and promote the agricultural heritage of Somerset County and the Laurel Highlands, support our 4-H and FFA youth, and provide a safe, affordable, family-friendly celebration of community.
The Association
The fair is run by an elected board of directors and dozens of department superintendents, assisted by hundreds of community volunteers each year. We always welcome new members , reach out if you'd like to help.
